Mobilise Your Campus

Whether it’s chatting with a friend, hosting a film night, or taking to the streets, there are powerful ways to raise awareness about the harms of porn.

If you or a friend need help in recovery, find it here.

1. Chat with a friend

Big things often have small starts.  Simply breaking the silence over porn with someone else can be powerful.  Sounds easier said than done?  We’ve put a few tips and conversation starters below.

2. Film Night

A casual film night can easily get people talking and inspired.  All you need is a few friends, a documentary, and some snacks.  In this pack:

  • Documentary suggestions
  • How to invite friends
  • Tips on running the screening

3. Speaker event

You can keep this super simple or get really creative.  You could have someone give a talk, do an interview with a survivor, or invite an artist to share their work.  If it seems a bit daunting, this pack will give you:

  • Tips for pulling it all together
  • Example events
  • Speaker suggestions
  • Guidance on working with survivors

4. Awareness campaign

Once you’ve got some momentum and people behind you, this really is possible.  To give you a sense of what it’s like, we sat down with Ella and Johnny, who were part of a campaign at their uni, to hear about their experience.
